Vehicles, however, were not part of this equation. NPCs, like the adoption agency or pest control, would show up in their own vehicles, and to go to other lots Sims would have to call a taxi to pick them up.
The Sims 3 seemed to turn a new leaf for the franchise, introducing personal cars at a base game level instead of waiting for a DLC. However, this design choice made sense considering The Sims 3 was open-world by design. Players could still get taxis to take their Sims places, but it was equally beneficial to have a personal vehicle at the ready.
But vehicles were always accounted for in the design of The Sims 3 , probably because of its open-world nature. It will be about the fifteenth invention of your Sim and it requires inventing level 9. After inventing the time machine, it will be found in the family inventory instead of the personal inventory. The exterior look of the time machine is most likely based on the one seen in Blackadder: Back and Forth. A Sim can return with various items including a caveman gnome , much as the original Mysterious Mr.
Gnome is discovered in the Mausoleum. If this happens, a Sim may suddenly have a child, but the child will only have one parent. When a Sim travels to the past, he or she can accidentally knock over a job board. If that happens, when the Sim returns, one of his or her housemates will have switched careers. Occasionally, traveling to the past will result in a message about the Sim using the machine having saved a child in front of his or her past self.
This results in a new child being added to the household. The time machine also makes a quick reference to Mass Effect when it says that the Sim was passing a crowd, listening about a shepherd Commander Shepard, the main protagonist , saving the Galaxy from an ancient god threat the Reapers.
Additionally, the futuristic outfits that can be gained by going into the future highly resemble the Spectre Armors that can be acquired in Mass Effect. If this is confusing for anyone, I will be glad to follow up and clarify myself. Thank you!
I hope people still play Sims 3, lol. Post by igazor » Sun Jul 25, am Hi there. Nope, nope we did a survey and no one in the world plays TS3 anymore. Not anywhere. We just congregate here on this challenging to manage website to exchange recipes, knitting patterns, and talk about our grandchildren and how the next generations are rotten to the core and are going to ruin the world just like our ancestors talked about.
The pesky fact that we've had over 4 million downloads of our mods in the past two years then becomes a bit difficult to explain, but there you have it. The problem you generated there is that relationships with foreign sims are actually held in the homeworld and then pending in the TravelDB file, not in the foreign world file. Thus you unintentionally created a mismatch of worlds and cross-world relationships that could never be resolved. It MAY have worked itself out if you waited to return from vacation to do that second nhd file swap, but there really isn't enough information presented to tell for sure.
All we can really suggest is try it that way, again with a safe place to revert to if it still doesn't work out. But the nhd swap is never meant to be used if the game save you are moving the file into has already "seen" an instance of the target foreign world as the TravelDB file would then be holding onto all kinds of mismatched relationships and your new best friends and relatives could suddenly be random toddlers, puppies.
