OK - my mouse is now working. I am not sure if I really did anything or not because I am not sure if I followed these exact steps before. When I added the device - I was asked for a pin number but did not enter anything and pressed next. This thread is locked. To add to the confused situation, the mouse is working again this morning. Of course, nothing is as frustrating as an intermittent fault. Yes I tried changing the batteries: I have used rechargeables and store-bought, but the problem persists. Often the mouse suddenly springs to life after 20 or 30 minutes. Riel Alc Microsoft Agent.
