Double Click on the Update Manager or select it then press the Properties button at the bottom of the screen.

On the Properties screen unselect the option labeled "Do not ask for the update source", click Apply and Ok. Now click the Update button on the bottom of the screen. In the pop-up window, click the Folder button.

Navigate to the folder where you had downloaded the update files into and click Ok. Sometimes this needs done twice for AVG to see the file.

AVG will update now with the file you had selected unless it contains the same as you already had. That should be all you need to have updated your system. Select the website you trust and start downloading the updates.

Update and Scan From the website you select for updates, click update tab and wait for completion of updating all new virus definitions.

After you are done with the updating process, you should restart your system and scan it. Your email address will not be published.
